Blissful is a contemporary Gospel artist known for his soul-lifting, multivalent, inspirational, and entertaining music. He firmly believes that God created him to be the best version of himself, as there are no two people alike in this world. With this understanding, Blissful strives to live out his best for Jesus.

Blissful’s music primarily focuses on expressing appreciation in worship songs to God, bringing healing to the sick and broken-hearted, salvation to the unsaved, and strength to the weak. His ultimate goal is to encourage and inspire the world through his inspirational music.

Blissful is the CEO of Blissful Records, which was birthed in 2017 and officially started in 2020. Under this record label, he has organized various music concerts, including the HOLY GHOST GROOVE CONCERT SEASON ONE in 2020 and AN EVENING OF WORSHIP WITH BLISSFUL, a live recording concert in 2021.

Throughout his career, Blissful has been blessed with incredible opportunities to share the stage with renowned Gospel artists such as Sinach, Frank Edwards, Buchi, Joepraise, Eben Lawrence, and the Covenant, among others.

He has successfully released six singles on global platforms such as iTunes, Spotify, Shazam, Deezer, and Google Play. One of his notable tracks is titled “Making Progress.” Additionally, Blissful has recently completed his album project, which is yet to be released.

Blissful’s journey hasn’t been one of privilege or ease. Born in 1994, he completed his secondary school education in 2012 at Buentsebe Secondary School Wula. Due to a lack of funds to further his education, he had to choose a different career path. Presently, he is the CEO of Blissful Touch Janitorial Services, a company specializing in building cleaning, event cleaning, janitorial services, carpet and upholstery cleaning, fumigation/pest control services, floor restoration/polishing, logistics, and fashion. The company officially started in 2020 and has been flourishing after eight years of persistent hustle in Lagos, Nigeria.

Blissful’s humble beginnings trace back to Wula Mgbaeshuo in Boki LGA, Cross River State. On October 4, 2014, he left his village to pursue his dreams in Lagos, Nigeria. Refusing to be limited by his background, Blissful aims to better himself with the help of the Holy Spirit. He also strives for his life story to serve as an inspiration to the less privileged, as he once was.

Blissful comes from a family of ten children, with one sibling who has passed away, leaving nine remaining. His father, Elder David Ekwo, passed away in 2019 after a prolonged illness at the age of sixty. The expenses incurred while caring for his sick father caused Blissful’s mother, Rebecca Ekwo, to lose everything, including her business. This challenging situation led Blissful to take up the responsibility of caring for his entire family, which hasn’t been easy, but God’s faithfulness has sustained them.

After three years, Blissful tragically lost his mother, Rebecca Ekwo, at the age of fifty-seven after a courageous battle with illness. With both parents gone, Blissful now finds himself as an orphan with the responsibility of six siblings and more.

Through all the trials and tribulations, Blissful emphasizes that the best life one can choose is to follow Jesus Christ, as He is the source of peace amidst the storms of life. With his music and life’s story, Blissful aims to spread this message of hope and faith to the world.
